LawCare is delighted to announce we have four new fantastic trustees joining our board this January. Welcome to Claire Joseph, Ryan McCuaig, Heather McKendrick and Lucinda Soon.
Claire JosephClaire is currently a Senior Associate – FCILEx, specialising in Cat PI and Occupational Health. Claire advocates for a proactive and coordinated approach to managing wellbeing, and has contributed to driving the employee wellbeing agenda at a local, divisional and global level.
Ryan McCuaigRyan is a second-year trainee solicitor at Thorntons Law, one of the largest full-service law firms in Scotland. He is also Chair of Who Cares? Scotland, a charity which provides advocacy, connection and campaigning for people who have experienced the care system as children.
Heather McKendrickHaving studied the LLB at the University of Aberdeen, Heather has worked in Judicial training and in marketing before taking up a post at the Law Society of Scotland, where she has worked for the for the last 12 years leading the Careers and Outreach Team. Heather has established a number of national projects for the current and future members of the Scottish legal profession such as a mentoring project for trainees and solicitors. Heather has been involved in the development of a charity to support young people facing financial disadvantage – the Lawscot Foundation - and now leads this charity, along with focusing on social mobility, diversity and wellbeing within the profession
Lucinda SoonA solicitor since 2009, Lucinda specialises in regulatory law and knowledge management. She is also a researcher in occupational health psychology, specifically focusing on the legal sector. An accredited Member of the British Psychological Society (MBPsS), Lucinda is working towards becoming dual qualified as a chartered psychologist via her doctoral research on well-being in the legal profession.
