Double your donation

All donations made to LawCare during the Christmas Challenge were doubled, up to £7500, thanks to funds we have raised from our supporters.

This means that:
🧑‍🎄 A £25 donation became a £50 donation – that could provide training for 2 of our volunteers
🧑‍🎄 A £50 donation became a £100 donation – that covers the cost of running our helpline for one hour

LawCare is the mental health charity for the legal sector. We provide free and confidential emotional support, peer support, and information to anyone struggling with the pressures of a career in the law.

As a small independent charity, we rely on the generosity of people in the legal sector who want to support their colleagues and challenge the stigma that still exists around seeking support for mental health concerns.

More and more people are turning to LawCare for support (numbers were up 24% in the first 9 months of 2023) so your donation to our Big Give Christmas Challenge will help to us meet this increase in demand.

Thank you for your support.

“I feel like a huge weight has been lifted. The relief that there are people out there who understand is immensely reassuring.”

Nila called LawCare for support in May 2023

We helped Nila

Nila was working in an unsupportive firm, feeling overwhelmed, and having panic attacks

The weight of caring for young children and still trying to work full time as a solicitor was getting too much for her.

  • “I feel like my life is falling apart with the pressure to make money and keep on top of everything at work and at home.”

Nila called LawCare for support in May 2023

We talked to her about opening up to others, seeing her GP, and building resilience. We matched her with a LawCare peer supporter and a counsellor.

After working through her situation with them Nila decided to find a new job in a more supportive and flexible firm, and was able to do so.

  • “I'm so glad that I got in touch with LawCare.”

Please help us to support people like Nila.
